RMVB Garbage Pickup Summer Schedule

Seasonal door-to-door household garbage pickup schedule - June 24 - September 4, 2024. The schedule is as follows:

  • MONDAY – Albert Beach, all areas south of Arthur Road and west of Ateah Road, including Ateah Road
  • TUESDAY – All avenues in Restricted Area north of Arthur Road including Sunset Boulevard
  • WEDNESDAY – All other areas.

Garbage is to be placed in garbage bags and left in containers (bear-resistant ones).

Containers are to be placed in the front yard (on the edge of the road allowance) by no later than 8:30 am.

PICK-UP SERVICE IS FOR HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE ONLY. THERE IS NO RECYCLING PICK-UP SERVICE, PLEASE TAKE YOUR RECYCLING TO THE NEW VB TRANSFER STATION ON HWY# 59 NEAR THE PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING.

WINTER HOURS - November 1 - April 30
OPEN DAILY (except Tues & Wed & Statutory Holidays) – 9 am to 5 pm.

  • Residents requiring door-to-door garbage pickup in the winter must contact Public Works at 204-756-2286 to get their name and address added to the list.
      

Traverse Bay Landfill

Non-Household garbage may be taken to TRAVERSE BAY LANDFILL OR THE NEW VICTORIA BEACH TRANSFER STATION:
Tax Payers from the Municipality of Victoria Beach will use their landfill pass from the municipal office during regular operating hours.

Located at PTH#11 – 3 miles east of PTH#11 &#59 intersection.

WINTER HOURS - November 1 - April 30
OPEN DAILY (except Wed & Thurs) – 9 am to 5 pm.

SUMMER HOURS - May 1 - October 31
OPEN DAILY 9 am - 5 pm

RMVB Recycling Program

The recycling depot is located on PTH #59 at the Public Works Yard in the new Transfer Station area.   

Recyclable materials include clean:

  • glass containers
  • aluminum & tin cans
  • plastic containers numbered #1, #2, #4, #5 & #7
  • paper and cardboard
  • crush or flatten all boxes prior to placing them in the bins
  • rinse your bottles and cans and remove lids 

Glass containers are recycled separately in the smaller bright green bin and must be clean. 

Paper, cardboard, tins and plastic containers can be co-mingled and recycled together in the large, bright green bin placed beside the ramp. 

NO GARBAGE OR PLASTIC BAGS IN THE RECYCLING BINS PLEASE.

Place your household garbage in the garbage bins beside the recycling bins.

Responsible recycling practices at our bins helps improve the overall efficiency and costs of our recycling program.

Please Note: The RM of Victoria Beach can no longer accept Household Hazardous Waste or E-Waste Recyclable Items as per Manitoba Conservation and Climate, Environmental Compliance and Enforcement.
