Municipal Elections — RM of Victoria Beach
This page provides a simple overview of municipal elections in the RM of Victoria Beach: who can vote, how to vote, and where to find official resources. When an election is called, key dates and documents will appear here.
Who Can Vote?
- Canadian citizen, at least 18 years of age on election day
- Resident of Manitoba and qualified voter of the RM of Victoria Beach (has either resided or owned property in the municipality for at least six months prior to election day)
- On the voters list (or prepared to take an oath and show required ID at the voting place)
- Not subject to disqualification under the Municipal Act or any other Act
- a judge of the Court of King's Bench or the Court of Appeal
- a provincial judge or justice of the peace
- a member of MLA of MB or the Senate or the House of Commons of Canada
How to Vote
- Election Day Voting: Polling location and hours will be posted here when confirmed.
- Advance Voting: Dates/locations will be added if applicable.
- Voter ID: Please bring acceptable identification showing your name and current address.
Key Dates
When an election is scheduled, we’ll publish the official timeline here (nomination period, advance voting, election day, and results).
- Registration period:
- Head of Council begins February 01st 2026 and closes at end of nominations;
- Councillors begins March 31st and closes at the end of nominations
- Nomination period:
- Starts on the 42nd day prior to Election Day
- Ends on the 36th day prior to Election Day
- Advance voting: TBA
- Election day: 24 July 2026
- Unofficial results posted: TBA
- Official results certified: TBA
For Candidates
- Nomination forms and information packages will be available through the SEO/CAO.
- Submit completed nomination papers to the Senior Election Official (SEO) during the nomination period.
- Campaign rules, spending limits, and signage guidelines are set by legislation and Municipality by‑laws.

Unofficial results will be posted on this page after polls close. Official results are certified by the SEO and will be added when available.

Senior Election Officials
The Senior Election Official (SEO) is the person(s) appointed by the municipality to exercise general direction and supervision over the conduct of municipal elections. The SEO will be your primary contact person should you have any questions about municipal elections, such as voting place locations, alternative voting opportunities, nominations, questions about the voters list, etc.
